This impressive specimen is the focal point of the client’s garden and has been carefully maintained for many years. Our goal was to preserve the tree’s natural form while carrying out essential remedial work to safeguard its long-term health and stability.
Light Touch Pruning for a Prominent Specimen
The Holm Oak is a valued feature in the garden, providing structure, shade, and visual impact. Rather than carrying out a heavy reduction, our team applied a light-touch pruning approach, carefully thinning and balancing the canopy while retaining the tree’s natural shape. This type of work ensures the tree remains both safe and aesthetically pleasing, enhancing the overall landscape without compromising its character.
Installing Cobra Bracing for Longevity
As part of the project, we also installed Cobra bracing systems within the canopy. Cobra bracing is a non-invasive method of providing extra support to large limbs or unions that may be at risk of failure. By distributing mechanical stress, these braces help protect the tree against storm damage and high winds, allowing it to continue thriving for decades to come.
